The International Residence Hall is a five-story, 310-bed facility for undergraduate and graduate students, faculty members and guests. It provides shared living spaces where local and international residents from different cultures can productively and respectfully engage each other.

Rooms in the International Residence Hall are twin-sharing with the following features:

  • semi-double-sized beds with mattresses
  • cabinets
  • study tables with chairs and bookshelves
  • an air conditioning unit
  • a refrigerator
  • Wi-Fi
  • toilet and bath with heater
  • a ceiling fan

Rate: PhP 90,500 or approximately USD 1,792 per person per semester inclusive of PhP 2,500 or USD 50 monthly allowance for utilities


House Rules

  • All university rules stated in the Student Handbook apply to the International Residence Hall.
  • Misconduct and Penalties: Offenses like possession/use of alcohol, prohibited drugs, deadly weapons, pornographic materials; smoking, theft, physical assault, gross discourtesy, and gambling may result to dismissal from the residence hall.
  • Curfew: Resident students are expected to be in the residence hall no later than 12:00 MN on weekdays and 2:00 AM on weekends.
  • Rest and Quiet Study Time: Please observe silence from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following day.
  • Keep your room and cabinets locked when you go out, to ensure safety of your personal belongings.
  • To conserve energy, switch off the lights, fan, computers, air-con, and other gadgets when not needed or when you leave the room.
  • Keys: Avoid being locked out of your room. Charge for opening your room is P20.00 and P200 for lost key. No key swapping.
  • Room Cleanliness: Students are encouraged to observe cleanliness in the room and common spaces in the residence hall.
  • Common Spaces: Practice CLAYGO (Clean As You Go) when using common areas (e.g. kitchenette, dining hall, lobby, entertainment lounge, etc.).
  • Waste Segregation: Observe proper garbage disposal. Use the right color of trash can.
  • Repairs and maintenance: Report to the residence hall manager any requirements for repairs.
  • Pets are not allowed in the residence hall.
  • Authorized Access: For safety and security, authorized IRH personnel may enter and search rooms, bags or packages if they have reason to believe that:
    • There is imminent hazard to persons or property; or
    • There is a violation of public law or university policy; or
    • There is presence of contraband items though concealed from view.
  • Cooking and ironing: Any form of cooking and ironing inside the room is prohibited. Students may cook in the kitchenette and iron in the laundromat.
  • Access to Visitors: Visitors are allowed access only to specific common areas. Visitors are not allowed in the bedrooms.
  • Medical Needs: For medical assistance, consult the doctors in the university infirmary. For emergency cases, medics and a university ambulance are available 24-hours.
